The SDN has announced all Service Design Award 2019 finalists, whose work is internationally recognised as a benchmark of world-class service design.

How is design applied in your own or client’s organization? Does it mean just pretty images, or does it have an effect on a strategic level? Design maturity models can be used to evaluate the level in which your organization is in applying design. They can also pinpoint the steps that could to be taken to get to the next level. In this article, you’ll hear about three different design maturity models and what kind of feedback professional designers gave about them.

03 June Service Design Drinks #1 was started our hot service design summer in Moscow! We are glad to meet design thinkers and service designers experienced in creating products and services.

on 28 th May we succeeded to start with workshop of service design in Moscow. 1 day practice workshop was devoted to System Map instrument and Service Blueprint to identify main metrics for partisipants' projects.

Service Design Network is strengthening its ties to the local design community in Hong Kong. With MAKE Studios we have gained a strong and established partner to support our efforts of making Service Design the new normal.

Taro Akabane has been a member of the SDN Japan Chapter since the beginning and now steps in as the successor to Atsushi Hase in the Global Chapter Team.
