Event Summary:

What Happened at the Second Edition of Meet the Community?

In short:

Service designers from around the world came together for a an event organized by France Hémain where they go the chance to meet each other in an alternative and playful way.

A Playful Start

The second edition of the Meet the Community events by the Swiss Service Design Network kicked off with a warm welcome. Service designers and practitioners, mainly from Switzerland but also globally, gathered to connect and have some fun. The event began with introductions and an icebreaker game called Two Truths, One Lie. This playful activity helped everyone get to know each other in a playful way.

Research Bingo

Next, participants were divided into three groups to play a creative game called Research Bingo, designed by France. This game had teams competing to complete a bingo row by matching items to topics only Service Design nerds truely understand on the board. It was an inventive way to engage everyone and foster teamwork.

Playful Networking

After the game participants had the chance to exchange contacts, paving the way for future connections and collaborations in their service design journeys. The games helped identify potential companions who resonated with their interests.

Relaxed Hangout

As always, the session ended with a casual hangout. People could talk freely about all things service design, ask questions, and share knowledge in an unrecorded setting that encouraged deeper conversations.

Thank you France

A big thank you to France for organizing such a delightful event and creating a beautiful FigJam board. His efforts made this session a memorable experience for the worldwide service design community.
