MAKE Studios is an experienced strategic design company based in Hong Kong and Australia. They are – among many other things – the driving force behind the design-led innovation conference Service Design Hong Kong. We’re proud to join forces with them to collaborate and support them for the 4th edition of this event, taking place on November 7 and 8, 2019.

The discipline Service Design is clearly growing rapidly in Hong Kong and China. MAKE Studios is a strong contributor to those developments, as their specialized work with Service Design and Customer Experience design drives the growth and advancement of innovation systems, cultures and capabilities.

We’re happy to tap into that expertise and experience by welcoming their co-founder and director Patti Hunt as well as Kate Okransinski (director of innovation) to the board of the SDN Hong Kong chapter. They are joining ranks with the chapter founders and representatives Daryl Choi, Kidbie Wu and Ted Chow to strengthen the presence of the chapter in that region.

Clearly, there is an eventful and promising future ahead for the Service Design community in Hong Kong. We’re excited to meet them at the event in November and witness the talks and presentations by their selected speakers. It is going to be all about the fusion of Design and Technology and how it is reshaping the future of business, society and culture in Asia. Service Design Hong Kong focuses on how pracitces like Service Design are being used to humanize technology and create positive outcomes for people.
