Healthcare service design from two perspectives: care provider and technology vendor.

Join us for an online SDN Chicago event with Diane Seaver and Aniela Chertavian Atchison as they share their experiences as in-house designers applying service design from two different perspectives within the healthcare ecosystem: care provider and technology vendor. From their respective points of view, each will cover topics such as behavior change, supporting a variety of stakeholders, and multi-channel service delivery.

Following their presentations there will be a panel discussion lead by Linda Pulik with time for audience questions.

About the Panelists

Diane Seaver is a Senior Service Design and Experience Lead at Philips working on service innovation projects specializing in business model innovation and go-to-market implementation. She has been the lead designer on several first of kind propositions launches that are now being scaled global. Prior to Philips, Dee held a similar position at the YMCA of USA, supporting development of service programs for the more than 2,700 Y locations across the country.

Aniela Chertavian Atchison, or just Yella, is a Senior Service Designer at Ascension. She leads virtual care service design strategy and implementation. Every day she gets the great honor of taking excursions through the brains of patients, staff, and clinicians. She marries critical and service design methodology in practice, often thinking several steps ahead. She holds a BFA in Service Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.

About the Moderator

Linda Pulik is a forward-thinking design & innovation leader with an extensive background leading and implementing design & UX initiatives rooted in research & strategy. She leads diverse, cross-functional teams focused on developing and deploying new services, products, and business strategies across industries, with a special interest in delivering world-class service to customers in the public and non-profit sectors. Linda has executed high impact programs spanning digital, public sector, health care, utilities & mobility. She has taught and developed curricula for academic courses and corporate training, featuring cross-functional and international collaboration.

Linda has spent over 15 years advancing the practice of Human-Centered Design and Innovation as a design professional and as an educator. She has led design projects for organizations in the US, India and China whose innovation processes benefit from the thorough understanding of stakeholder needs, desires and expectations that HCD offers.
