Dear SDN Members,

We’re thrilled to invite you to our next SDN Global Café on September 11, 2025 — a session that promises to challenge your perspective and expand your design toolkit.

Exploring AI-Enabled Shared Decision Making in Healthcare

Led by: Heather Coffin, Hridaya Yanamandala & Kim Burgas

The Strategic Innovation and Design team at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) was tasked with exploring an opportunity space to determine whether it would have commercial potential and be of value to MSK stakeholders (i.e., clinicians, patients, and caregivers). We used a sprint-based design process to quickly validate the viability and desirability of AI-enabled shared decision making concepts. The process allowed our multidisciplinary core team to achieve specific, predefined goals quickly and efficiently for faster decision-making and forward movement in a complex healthcare organization.
