Hello, fellow service designers!


I'm Mariana Rocamora. I fell in love with Service Design a couple of years ago, and ever since, I’ve been on a mission to evangelize everyone I meet. My background spans product research, user research, customer experience (CX) research, and product onboarding, always with a strong focus on equity and ethics. (Yes, I am on that side of Service Design)


Outside of work, I’m the kind of person who enjoys day hiking, going to bookshops and dating reality TV shows (for the anthropological enjoyment, of course).


I'm here to learn, to share in any way I can help out, and to meet awesome people.

To me, service design means...

For me, service design isn't just about creating seamless experiences for customers, for me it's more important to focus designing for dignity on both sides of the service. True service design considers the worker in the back office who needs clear processes and adequate resources just as much as the customer at the front desk.

Teacher Product Onboarding

We had a very ambitious mission: how to better reach tens of thousands of teachers and provide them with the product training they needed for the school year using our educational materials. I designed an end-to-end hybrid model that combined product onboarding with collaborative workshops, reinforcing a sense of community while applying a flipped classroom approach. To make this possible, I worked closely with the product team and led internal co-design workshops to shape the overall experience.
