We create positive change in Society. Our operations play a significant role in promoting sustainable development and supporting the building of a responsible society. Our impact is generated through the work of the professionals we educate across different sectors of society, as well as through the knowledge and expertise we produce. This impact becomes visible as lasting changes - such as improved employment, new business creation, launched innovations, increased turnover or reduced emissions. Human Security is a cross‑cutting theme in Savonia’s research areas. The Human Security principles are also reflected in our education and in the activities of our work community. In this way, we are connected to the comprehensive security expertise cluster of Eastern Finland and the City of Kuopio.
