About SDN

Service Design Network was founded in 2004 to strengthen the theory and practice of service design. As a predominately volunteer-driven organisation, we execute our mission through the content we create and share, the events we host, the communities we bring together, the awards we bestow and the outreach activities we undertake. Thanks to our ability to work conjointly with an engaged community of passionate professionals, academics and curious innovators, SDN is raising the profile and application of service design for the betterment of business, government and society at-large.

About the role

The lead of strategic development and team management will:

  • Collaborate with the SDN Leadership Team in the strategic development of the organization
  • Build the link between the LT and the HQ
  • Align objectives and strategies between the different actors and monitor the progress
  • Conceptualize, implement and monitor an efficient reporting system
  • Support financial planning and monitoring
  • Support the partner/volunteer management through the design and implementation of play-books, contracts and strategies for motivation and engagement

Tasks

  • Coordinate the development of objectives and strategies (OKR with and between LT and HQ)
  • Install measurements, evaluation, reporting
  • Manage the overview on deadlines, achievements, problems
  • Organize regular HQ team meetings and 1:1 meetings with the project leads
  • Plan and monitor team– and individual development
  • Team admin (vacation, over-hour, hiring, contracting, on-boarding)
  • Organize bi-weekly LT meetings, agenda, facilitation and monitoring of tasks

  • The job position we are offering is a total of 40 hours full-time engagement.
  • We are looking for someone available asap. 
  • Compensation is leaning to TVL labour agreement, with grading depending on your educational and professional background.
