EY-Seren is a dedicated Service Design, Innovation and Customer Experience consultancy within EY Advisory. We work with high-profile client accounts on their digital transformation, using a customer/user centric approach to design. We do this by working in close collaboration with the wider consulting teams of EY Advisory (Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Strategy, IT & Customer), who enable our design consulting to become operational and implemented.

Role & Responsibilities
Senior / Design Consultant (2-5 years relevant experience)
- Advocate and apply design thinking methodologies in multi-disciplinary consulting engagements.
- Undertake primary and secondary project research (across service users, target audiences, competitors, comparators etc)
- Creation of visually and intellectually compelling service design deliverables (such as Personas, Journey Maps, Prototypes, Presentations, R&D).
- Facilitate interactive design-thinking workshops with senior client stakeholders, customers and collaboration partners.
- Stay up to date on customer experience trends, innovations and impact.
- Be an active ambassador for the EY & EY-Seren brands in emerging markets; by delivering high quality service design.
- Meet/exceed the general performance standards of EY Consultants at this grade.
Manager / Principal Design Consultant (5+ years relevant experience)
In addition to the above:
- Guardianship of design production standards and deliverable quality.
- Lead work streams of small/medium sized consulting teams.
- Use robust project management skills to plan, track and report.
- Scope and estimate work; leading the development of proposals, pitches, quotations and contracts.
- Mentor, train and inspire others - in our team, the wider EY firm, our client network and regional design industry.
- Meet/exceed the general performance standards of EY Consultants at this grade.
Senior Manager / Design Lead (8+ years relevant experience)
In addition to the above:
- Manage large/complex client engagements as a design & innovation leader.
- Develop and convert a strong pipeline of relevant client work.
- Assume ownership of studio growth and management areas.
- Establish a strong industry reputation and network.
- Author and publish thought-leadership on design and innovation; specifically for the MENA / AIM markets.
- Apply sector-level expertise in key accounts (single / multiple sectors).
- Meet/exceed the general performance standards of EY Consultants at this grade.
Skills & Experience
To apply for these roles, you must meet the following minimum requirements.
- An understanding of ‘Service Design’ and ‘Design Thinking’ fundamentals at a conceptual and practical level.
- A genuine passion for human centred design through an empathetic attitude.
- Portfolio of service design work and/or example design deliverables (research reports, presentations, prototypes, journeys, blueprints etc)
- Recognised bachelors degree (ideally in a design or other related discipline)
- Strong proficiency in Adobe CC tools
- Strong graphic/visual design skills (illustration, layout, typography etc)
- High standard of written and spoken English (including proof-reading own work)
- Exposure to qualitative user/customer research methods (planning / facilitating: focus groups, interviews, workshops ethnography etc)
- Exposure to quantitative user/customer research methods (Survey Design, VOC, NPS, Survey Management/Analysis & Reporting)
- Confidence in dialogue and presentations to clients/users/customers
Additionally, the following would be an advantage when applying.
- Arabic - business conversational and/or written
- Post-graduate degree in relevant field (Master, MBA, PhD)
- Specialist design production skills (motion graphics, video, 3D, spatial, product design etc)
- Understanding of key concepts in: behavioural psychology, interaction design and ergonomics
- Understanding of key concepts in Customer Experience and Service Quality
- A useful network of professional client-side contacts within Dubai / UAE / MENA
