Service Design Lead at co:collective

co:collective is in search of a global Service Design Lead to drive a design process that spans all phases of development, from framing a problem to creating service concepts, prototyping & launch.

WHO WE ARE:

co:collective is an organization designed to help our clients become Storydoers. Today’s most successful companies have a central story that captures their business’s higher purpose – we call it a Quest. To do this, we have built three independent companies under the co:collective umbrella and born of the DNA, each designed to help our clients become Storydoers through innovation, content and engagement. Together, the companies of co:collective create quest-led ideas that build businesses and help us achieve our own quest: to help the bold truly do.

co: is a growth engine: we create iconic innovations in terms of new services, products, new retail experiences and wrap them around new business models.

The Pub is a content strategy and publishing agency that helps brands and creators publish with purpose by collaborating in more meaningful ways.

Doable is a cloud-based innovation platform, designed to empower employees to contribute and collaborate on ideas that align with our clients’ quest.

THE ROLE:

co: is in search of a Service Design Lead to lead global client engagements. This role is responsible for driving a design process that spans all phases of development, from framing a problem to creating service concepts, prototyping them and get them ready for launch.

Our design team creates intuitive, engaging experiences that people want to visit, use and visit again, and that build brands by creating powerful advocacy and amplification in the world.

WHO YOU ARE:

You believe that successful innovations are the result of a powerful brand narrative and a strong design.

You are comfortable confronting the complexities of large global organization. You have led global service design projects that demonstrate strategic, conceptual and creative thinking - with tangible outcomes to show. You are a strong user-centered approach to design and problem solving. You’re outstanding in front of a room and thoughtful one-on-one. You can build, lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team.

You look at problems from unusual angles. You are biased towards making something real versus just talking about it, and are absolutely in love with the idea of designing experiences that will actually matter and impact the lives of a user.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Frame the Opportunity: You’ll advise senior clients on how to frame, or reframe, their problem and foster bigger thinking about the opportunity for the brand, people and business. In partnership with a strategic lead, you’ll guide research, analysis and synthesis. You’ll decode people’s behavior and thoughts through provocative and inspirational insights. You’ll couple them with the brand story and an acute business analysis to identify opportunity spaces to drive growth.

Envision and Design new services: You’ll prioritize the opportunity spaces based on overall corporate strategy, business viability, technical feasibility and user desirability. You’ll lead the definition of the service vision and platform architecture; development of service design concepts; evolution of the concepts into a holistic experience via scenarios; user journeys; storyboards and service blueprinting.

Prototype, Test and Implement: You’ll define the MVP, guide & lead the creation of prototypes to be used for testing purposes to evolve the concepts. You’ll help design an implementation roadmap and partner with the team to bring concepts from prototypes to final, market ready execution.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

  • Assembled and led design teams on global service design assignments
  •  8+ years of experience working on service design projects, including a command over all phases of design from insight gathering to concept generation to market execution
  •  Presented to and worked in collaboration with senior clients and leadership
  •  Provided leadership, training and mentorship to junior designers
  •  Worked closely with strategists, UX and business leads to build and launch services and experiences for global and local organizations
  •  A portfolio of examples that span a variety of industries and design challenges
  •  A history of uncovering and translating fresh insights into impactful service solutions

WHAT ELSE:

With great work comes great reward. In addition to collaborating with a talented set of passionate weirdos, we’re committed to creating an ever evolving progressive work environment. In addition to a competitive salary that commensurate with your experiences, our perks include unlimited vacation, performance-based bonuses, open seating and more snacks than you can imagine.
