Senior Service Design Manager
Ingeus is currently looking for a Senior Service Design Manager to join their team on a permanent basis based in London. The Senior Service Design Manager works as part of the Design and Innovation team which supports the business to design and bid for new contracts with government departments and other agencies.
The Senior Service Design Manager will be primarily responsible for designing effective and innovative solutions for the organisation, ensuring that delivery solutions are lean and effective. They will also be required to support the organisation to achieve optimal results through benchmarking existing operational processes and leading on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities: • Designing and developing high-quality solutions to achieve the service users’ needs, the customers’ objectives and the organisation’s EBITDA requirements. • Owning the development of the solution for each bid, project managing from inception to conclusion • Developing the overall vision and high-level design for the project and ensuring this is effectively communicated to the various stakeholders. • Collaborating effectively with subject matter experts as well as the organisation’s operations, business development, financial, commercial and technical colleagues to achieve the optimal service design • Proactively engaging customers to test understanding, refine requirements and develop tailored and compelling solutions. • Building an understanding of the market and research trends and competitors to creatively and commercially design the organisation’s offer • Reviewing current services and identify synergies with, and improvements to, other organisation contracts. Re-utilising capabilities wherever possible • Working closely with the Mobilisation Team to design the processes to steady state operations and support an effective handover to mobilisation • Identifying, reviewing and recording the specific risks associated with the opportunity including mitigations and cost implications. • Contributing to the organisation’s best practice design methodology and supporting the upskilling of the organisations Business Development, Service Design and Operations teams with regular design workshops and training.
Requirements: • Previous responsibility for the design of large-scale transformation solutions (TCV £250M or above) in the government outsourcing sector • Broad knowledge of business architecture and detailed working knowledge of one or more design methodologies • Experience of delivering complex programmes to cost, quality and on time using a recognised methodology • Experience of technology assessment and selection • Strong influencing skills • Ability to quickly realise capability and benefits of business solutions and technologies • Ability to explain complex technical and operational concepts in simple business language • Ability to deal with ambiguity, high levels of pressure and rapidly changing environments • Flexible location and willing to travel.
Essential: • Qualification in a relevant service design methodology e.g Agile, UX design, Six Sigma
