Your challenge

According to the Philips Lighting strategy we will be ready to integrate lighting with people, sensors, and data in new ways. This means that open and scalable platforms will enable us to collaborate with the best partners and cross industry borders.

In line with this strategy the Public Spaces department in Philips Lighting Research defines future business propositions for systems and service for this domain. The team is gathering customer insights and translates these into potential value propositions which are validated from a customer, business and technology point of view. In this assignment, it will be your challenge to develop a dynamic interaction model using a cutting-edge physical interface to demonstrate related business models and user experience for the business propositions we anticipate.

The ideal candidate is experienced in using design tools (Photoshop / Illustrator) and has strong affinity with novel ways of user interaction. Preferably he/she has experience in programming in JAVA. If you feel you meet these skills you might be ideal person for this position!

Your team

This internship is hosted by Philips Lighting Research which is a global organization that develops meaningful innovations for lighting and beyond. The Public Spaces & LivingLab department leads the transformation towards digital propositions for public spaces such as arenas, transportation hubs city centers and residential areas. These digital propositions target innovations to make public spaces: smart, connected, human centered, green, safe, more efficient.

You will work in multidisciplinary team which will allow you to strengthen your own expertise and broaden it while learning from other disciplines. You will be challenged to solve real challenges together with Philips Lighting experts.
