What you’ll do:

  • Lead varied teams & manage multiple projects  
  • Shape a project & team from exploration to venture launch
  • Encourage co-founders to think big, stimulate innovation and support systems thinking
  • Comfortably design & facilitate workshops that spark disruptive potential  
  • Live & promote human-centered design mentality
  • Drive strategic design vision for LAB1886
  • Create strong value propositions within business design
  • Understand team strengths to support individual growth & cohort mentorships
  • Promote coaction between your team and UX/UI, venture architect, engineering & product management cohorts
  • Envision & lead approach for organizational strategy within LAB1886 and our newly created ventures
  • Communicate SD vision to co-founders & stakeholders 

  

What you bring:

  • Confidence applying & communicating a human-centered design thinking mindset—empathy, curiosity & critical thinking
  • Strong ability to represent user-centered design
  • Framework to elevate, inspire & mentor your team and cofounders
  • 8+ years of strategic experience working in innovation fields
  • Outstanding experience designing and facilitating innovation and design sprint workshops
  • Bachelor’s and master’s degree in a related field, including but not limited to design, business, behavioral science or relevant work experience
  • Fluency in business English—be comfortable communicating & presenting your work
  • Flexibility to work in new fields—including international and emerging markets
  • Strong sense of current social, economic & cultural changes
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree (or PhD) in a related field, including but not limited to design, business, behavioral science—or relevant work experience

 

Bonus points if you’ve:  

  • Successfully launched and/or led a startup or innovation lab
  • Rolled out digital transformation strategies and/or agile development methods at scale
