Touchpoint Roundtable: Smart Service DesignOn February 16, 2023, we are holding a special launch event connected to the publication of the most recent issue of Touchpoint, the journal of service design. In that issue, we take a critical look at the implications of technologies such as AI and machine learning on the field of service design. With AI hitting the public consciousness in ways it never has before now, this issue is incredibly pertinent to our practice. During the roundtable, Guest Editors, Niko Reunanen (Hellon), Kim Rees (J.P. Morgan), Marihum Pernia (eFM, Politecnico Milano), and Editor-in-Chief Jesse Grimes will be joined by several authors who will share their contributions and the themes touched on in the issue. The event is free and open to all.

The service design community has long recognised the importance of the employee experience as being inherently interlinked with user experience. Employees are integral to any service delivery, whether they are present in face-to-face service interactions, such as hospitality, or whether they are behind the scenes of (primarily) digital services, responsible for apps and interfaces.
