The Service Design Network is at the height of activity in preparation for the Service Design Global Conference 2022 (SDGC22) taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark from October 13-14, 2022. An absolute “must attend” for anyone passionate about the advancement of the practice of service design, we are actively in search of committed volunteers who want to support us bring this high-profile event to life!  

By joining as an on-site volunteer during this annual occasion, you will become an important member of our SDGC22 execution team. With a variety of activities taking place throughout the two days, volunteers will have the ability to hear, see and experience the best that service design has to offer.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Be an active student at least 18 years of age
  • A passion for service design
  • Excellent English skills
  • Availability for both days, October 13-14, 2022 full time (Kindly note that volunteers must be available throughout this time period. You will not be considered a suitable candidate if you cannot fulfil this requirement)
  • Ability to begin your day onsite at 7 a.m. and work between five to seven hours each day. (Volunteers are typically scheduled to work in 2.5-4 hour increments with (onsite) time-off between shifts)
  • Flexibility
  • Work well with others; be a team player!
  • Completion of our SDGC22 volunteer application

Special note: If you require a visa to enter Copenhagen, please be prepared to provide proof of fulfilment by September 30.

Volunteer Application Submission

The deadline for submission of your volunteer application is September 16. Please note that we will review all applications after the closing date and will get back to you if we believe you have fulfilled all requirements. Once you have confirmed your availability to volunteer, we will discuss with you your various tasks and responsibilities. We will continue to stay in touch in the time leading up to the event via social media groups and emails.
