The Chapter has three main goal for 2019: to organize SND China National Conference, to collect the most valuable Case Studies and to create the China Service Design Manifesto.

Every company part of the committee will actively take part in the development of at least one of the previously listed goals. It is important to share both the efforts and the gains among all the members and the committee is willing to do so for the sake of the Chapter growth.

During the meeting, the committee had a call with Birgit Mager to share their ideas and plans for the Conference and discuss next steps; the event will be the perfect stage to spread the knowledge about Service Design in the country and show the Chinese audience the big value it can bring to this market.

Moreover, during the meeting, all the members presented their best case studies to the entire committee in order to then select together the most valuable ones and collect them in a book which will be published later this year.

In the end, SDN Shanghai members shared their goals for 2019; Alibaba, for example, is going to explore the value of Service Design together with Chinese Top Universities through lessons, workshop and projects.

The Chapter closed the meeting with the promise of promote more and more Service Design around China to help this market understand its great potential.
