SDN Saskatchewan seeking input on mentoring program

SDN Saskatchewan chapter is seeking input into a service design mentoring program

After many of our smaller conversations with businesses and organizations throughout the province, we've been hearing a lot about the need or opportunity for the Chapter to facilitate a mentoring program for those learning or starting to implement service design into their day-to-day work. The idea is to connect those new to service design with those who are a little more seasoned in applying it in different roles or environments.

There are certainly differing ideas about what this could look like, so we are reaching out to those within the province for feedback and insights into what a program like this could look like and the value it could provide.

If this is something that may interest you, please email or connect with us on one of our social sites providing the following information:

  • Are you willing to mentor or do you seek someone who can help you out?
  • How much time are you willing to mentor or how much support do you require?
  • How do you see this mentoring taking shape? What format/environment?
  • Is there a particular area of focus or topic where you are seeking help?

Any feedback you can provide is greatly appreciated. You can either email us below or visit our LinkedIn or Twitter feed to connect.

Service designers work within a unique context. Because our work influences service innovation, improvement and delivery across lengthy and often complex customer lifecycles, we must work closely with stakeholders from across our organisations, and even beyond. While we aim for deep expertise in our own practice, we must also familiarise ourselves with the ways many others work
