SDN DC hosted a happy hour together with other DC-based design organizations, DT:DC, HealthCare Experience Design DC and UNleaded - over 60 people gathered to mingle over food, wine and drinks.
On February 7th, SDN DC helped to host a happy hour together with other DC-based design organizations, DT:DC, HealthCare Experience Design DC and UNleaded.. The event was meant to serve both as a celebration of our vibrant community's common passion for human-centered design, as well as a meet and greet for participants, organizers and presenters for this year's upcoming DC Service Jam.
Sponsored by Booz Allen, over 60 people gathered at its Innovation Center to mingle and partake of a sumptuous spread of food and wine and drinks. Each organization gave a presentation, and the six members of the DC Service Jam organizing committee, including SDN DC's Aza Damood, were there to introduce themselves.
The energy of the happy hour was palpable, and attendees widely commented how much they appreciated the "cross-pollination" of our communities. More such events are sure to be in store, and SDN DC is proud to serve as both a member and leader of DC's design community!
The DC Service Jam happening Feb.17-19 along with 100 cities around the world is now sold out!In this issue of Touchpoint, we focus on interdisciplinarity itself. What does success look like, and what are the tried and tested methods to achieve it?
