Co-creation of the SDN Poland Chapter - girl power!

Within a month from the SDN Poland Chapter kick-off meeting and with the second meeting organized in Warsaw, the co-creation process of the SDN Poland Chapter was moved to next stage. We brainstormed, elaborated and selected the best ideas on the value proposition of the SDN Poland Chapter and on the team alignment. It gave us a lot of food for thought for the summer break and a solid base to proceed with expanding our chapter’s activity in the autumn.

Do you remember our news about the very first event of the SDN Poland Chapter and that the interest in it exceeded our expectations, and that we realized the hidden potential of the Polish practitioners and enthusiasts of service design? So, in order to make a full use of the momentum created with the establishment of the SDN Poland Chapter – we have now 255 LinkedIn group members – on June 16 we organized pre-summer workshop session to push forward the co-creation process of the SDN Poland Chapter.

Our idea behind this meeting was to gradually build the community mostly interested in setting long term directions for the SDN Poland Chapter, both on national and regional level. Therefore, we aimed to work in a small group of up to 15 people. Guess what, all our participants were female, girl power! It seems that the World Cup must have had its impact on the structure of participants (luckily, male honor was saved by a co-founder of the SDN Poland Chapter). To stimulate the process and support participants in their work we applied different tools, including: associative thinking cards stimulating creative thinking, Real Time Board with which we presented results of the first meeting, Value Proposition Canvas and Team Canvas Basic.

What were the results? Thanks to the active engagement of participants and on the basis of what we had achieved during the first meeting, the co-creation process of the SDN Poland Chapter entered the next stage! We brainstormed, elaborated and selected the best ideas on the value proposition of the SDN Poland Chapter and on the team alignment. It gave us a lot of food for thought for the summer break and a solid base to proceed with expanding our chapter’s activity in the autumn. The meeting also served to build closer, more lasting and personal relationships among practitioners and enthusiasts of service design.

Touchpoint Vol.14 No.1 - The Employee Journey: Call for papers

The service design community has long recognised the importance of the employee experience as being inherently interlinked with user experience. Employees are integral to any service delivery, whether they are present in face-to-face service interactions, such as hospitality, or whether they are behind the scenes of (primarily) digital services, responsible for apps and interfaces.
