The SDN is seeking to establish a Media and Publications Advisory Board and is now accepting applications for Board members.
The role of the Advisory Board will be to provide both strategic guidance and some tactical support to the following activities:
- The SDN journal Touchpoint (theme selection, expanding our readership, content and structure improvements, marketing and awareness, etc.)
- SDN social media (channel usage, improving engagement and conversion, potential new formats, etc.)
- Possible one-off SDN publications (supporting SDN initiatives through standalone publications, as the SDN has done in the past)
- And any other publications, content creation or (social) media activities the organization may undertake
We are seeking volunteers from the global service design community to join the Board who have experience in content creation (as a blogger, author, podcast creator, etc.) or in content editing or curation roles (such as an editor, or journalist). If you have past career experience or education in these topics, but are currently not active professionally, that is of course still relevant.
The initial Advisory Board role will be for a period of two years. The associated SDN benefits, expected workload, etc. will be discussed and agreed as part of the application process.
As a non-profit, global organization, the SDN relies on the engagement of volunteers to help it achieve its goals. This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise and hands-on efforts towards shaping the content we create, for the betterment of service designers world-wide.
Applications are being accepted until Friday 3 May at 18:00 CET. Successful candidates will be invited for a discussion in which their motivation to participate and relevant experience will be discussed. We invite you to submit your application if the role interests you, and we encourage you to forward this announcement to those in your network for whom you think it is relevant.
