A recap of Service Design Day 2022

1st June is not only Children's Day but also Service Design Day which is a carnival for those who love service design.

With the aim of strengthening the impact of Service Design in different fields, and building up the Service Designer community in China. We were enthusiastically preparing for the Service Design Day on June 1st, even though the epidemic is raging this year.

We made the Service Design Day into a series of online activities that were layered on top of each other to keep users engaged. This time, we are not only celebrating Service Design Day but also giving participants a better understanding of the Service Design Day and engaging it more meaningfully.

Photoing • Love is everywhere

The theme of the Service Design Day is LOVE and Do Good, Give Back. On the 20th of May we invited people to send a photo that expresses love to the world with the words Do Good, Give Back or I ❤ SD. We ended up with a collection of photos that expressed love, each with a different perspective on the warmth and beauty in the world.

Walking • Service Inspiration Market

The epidemic has affected many service industries, but at the same time, we can see that many new services are being born and growing. Fools worry about danger, wise men seek opportunity from danger. On the 27th of May, Service Inspiration Market was officially launched, to keep everyone thinking, paying attention to service trends, and seizing opportunities in the industry.

Many people entered the Service Inspiration Market to fill out service inspiration cards and write down their thoughts, ideas, observations, or wishes. At the Inspiration Market, everyone is a fellow traveller.

Talking • Industry opportunities for outbreak services

On June 1st, the Service Design Day, CBi's Founder Cathy, CBi's Vice President Gump, and Director of Innovation & Empowerment Cindy came into the live studio to talk about the questions and thoughts in the Service Inspiration Market through the following five points.

On June 1st, the Service Design Day, CBi's Founder Cathy, CBi's Vice President Gump, and Director of Innovation & Empowerment Cindy came into the live studio to talk about the questions and thoughts in the Service Inspiration Market through the following five points.

Each of the three speakers expressed their own views and illustrated the industry opportunities for services under the epidemic through--having empathy, thinking from the user's point of view and gaining insight into their real needs. Using service design theory to empower the industry and turn crisis into opportunity.

The event showed the magic and energy of love. In addition, by inviting people to participate in the event, we had a richer idea and a more diverse perspective on the theme of the Service Design Day.

Inspiration is like a seed that be taken to the Service Design Day. Through love and inspiration, the seed grows into a huge tree. But it doesn't grow on its own, people from different fields and industries nurture it with ideas and suggestions. Service design is not just about focusing on an idea or a person, it is about collaboration and co-creation between people.

We believe that by using the power of co-creation, we can enable more people to understand, learn and ultimately strengthen the impact and position of service design on a global scale.

At the same time, we call on everyone to change the world for the better with love and creativity together.
