SDN Finland awarded for the best Member relations among the 20 chapter nominees.

SDN Finland has been awarded twice to be among the top Chapters in the global network. Being one of the most active chapters globally this is no surprise :-)


In 2018, SDN Finland won the Chapter Award for an Excellent Event Organization for #hkisdnc18.


In 2017, SDN Finland won the Chapter Award category for Best Member Relations and gained an honourable mention in the category of Excellent Event Organization and Most Innovative Initiative.


The Chapter Awards have been announced since 2017.

The jury recognised that SDN FINLAND has developed excellent member experiences by hosting a wide variety of more than 12 innovative initiatives and events for their community in the past year. Their activities range from national conferences and workshops to book club meetings and informal meet-ups. Notably, SDN Finland used income from their national conference to finance a kick grant and service design coaching to help new start-ups in Finland get on their feet. This was highly successful!

Their range of activities provides excellent opportunities for professional development in their local community. The wide variety of activities caters for both new and long-term members with diverse levels of service design knowledge.


The Premier Chapter Awards were announced at the Member Day 1.11.2017 at Madrid SDGC 2017. The five award categories were:
Best Public Relations (SDN Japan)
Best Member Relations (SDN Finland)

Excellent Event Organization (SDN Chicago + SDN Brazil)
Most Innovative Initiative (SDN Nordic Documentary Video)
Excellent Cultural Inclusivity (SDN Beijing + SDN Japan)
