With over 10 years of experience in various design domains, I am a passionate and versatile service designer who strives to create human-centric end-to-end processes that enhance users satisfaction and operational efficiency. I have a strong background in product design (UX/UI), user research, usability testing, data visualization, and digital design, as well as business design and analysis, digital brand management, and workshop and sprints facilitation.
Currently, I am responsible for producing whole service design products for the benefit of one or more business areas at National Highways, the UK's leading road operator. I manage engagement with colleagues and other stakeholders to develop human-centric solutions that improve the performance and safety of the road network. I am also an active member of the National Highways design service group, leading on various group and enterprise initiatives to establish and market National Highways service suite. Additionally, I manage and develop several group design capability areas, setting their direction and helping peers in their adoption.
To me, service design means...
Our everyday challenge is to create sustainable solutions and optimal experiences for both human in unique contexts and any service providers involved. It involves breaking down services into stages and adapting fine-tuned solutions to suit all users’ needs in context-based on actors and driving factors that impact the users. In simpler terms, service design is the design of services that help users to do something, like learn to drive, buy a house. It is about co-creating with users and delivering services that are easy to use and understand. Now a good practice in government and private organization by testing and iterating concepts/ideas before developing and delivering a real solution.
