This former brick-making factory welcomes visitors to experience first-hand the sustainable practices that enable cities of the future to flourish. As a strong representation of exploration into new and transformational ways to approach complex problems, Evergreen Brick Works, in turn, makes for the perfect venue for our service design community to explore the kind of next-generational thinking and discussion that leads to action.

That makes it the perfect backdrop for SDGC19 while the Evergreen Brick Works – Canada’s first large-scale community environmental centre – with its innovative public space where spaces become great places will serve us as a flexible and inspirational venue.

How to get there

Evergreen Shuttle Bus 

The free Evergreen Brick Works shuttle bus departs every 30–45 minutes from the parkette on Erindale Ave, east of Broadview Ave (just north of Broadview subway station).  View the location on Google Maps

To allow you a smooth journey to the our conference, we’ve increased the number of shuttle buses both in the morning and in the evening especially for you. Have a look at the updated shuttle schedule here.

By Public Transit

TTC service is available via the 28 Bayview South bus from Davisville subway station.  It runs from 6am–1am from Monday to Saturday and 8am–6pm on Sundays. For more information, please see the TTC website.

From Downtown

It is easiest to access Bayview Avenue from River Street, which runs north from King Street and joins Bayview just north of Gerrard Street.

From the Don Valley Parkway

Take the exit for Bloor Street/Bayview Avenue and head north on Bayview for 300 metres until you come to Evergreen Brick Works.

From East York

The easiest way to approach Bayview Avenue from the east is via Pottery Road, which runs between Broadview Avenue (north of Bloor) and Bayview Avenue. Travel 700 metres south on Bayview until you come to Evergreen Brick Works on your right.

The Union Station is the main station of the city and is located about 40 minutes by public transit from the venue.

Toronto Pearson International Airport is located approx. 35 kilometres away from the venue. It is close to several major transit routes, so it is easy to get to all corners of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) by public transit. Taxi and car hire services are also easily available. 

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Canada's ninth-busiest airport, is approx. 8 kilometres away from the venue.
