Senior UX / Service strategy consultant

Lead product & service strategy projects at the intersection of mobility, cities and technology, in London. Help clients like Ford, Deutsche Telekom and Samsung cut through complexity.

To lead or play a key role in digital product and service strategy projects.

Capabilities

Knowledge, skills, experience and relationships needed for this job, include:

  • 5+ years in digital product/service design and strategy, at least some of which within agencies
  • Expertise in situating problems within the bigger picture and thinking clearly in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to systematically analyse a client problem, with a systems mindset
  • Capability to create visions, strategic concepts and propositions
  • Ideally have experience of planning and envisioning multi-touchpoint services
  • An appreciation of technical and organisational implementation considerations
  • Early MVP/prototyping and testing techniques
  • Organises own time and delegates effectively, and drives constantly for project team results
  • Anticipates client needs, and fosters excellent client relationships in all interactions
  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communications skills (using Adobe CC)
  • Nice to have: experience in transport/mobility, consumer technology or healthcare
  • Nice to have: a client network
  • Nice to have: a background in Industrial Design
  • Nice to have: have been published and spoken at industry events

Key tasks

Client projects

  • Lead project teams, or contributes to projects at a senior level , in client facing role   
  • Develop and presents high quality and compelling deliverables                                                       
  • Manage budget resources and budgets effectively                                                                                               

Business development
Work with BD team to:

  • Network with client and industry contacts
  • Develop new business opportunities
  • Plan projects and write proposals

Management

  • Proactively lead change initiatives as a member of management team
  • Line manage and shows clear leadership to junior staff by working with them to improve performance and develop their knowledge 
  • Demonstrate sound judgement, and the ability to resolve conflicts and establish priorities
  • Deliver ‘Skills shares’ to pass on capabilities to the team
