WHO IS ARE
Are Gjertin Urkegjerde Halland is the inventor of the Core Model, and has 24 years of experience with strategy, communication and product development. He has worked both as a consultant and in-house with business strategy, innovation processes, user research, UX design, content strategy and information architecture.
From 2006-2019 he worked for the Norwegian award winning digital agency Netlife Design (https://www.netlife.com/en), implementing the Core Model as a cornerstone methodology.
He now works as an independent coach, speaker, facilitator and consultant, helping people take advantage of the simple power of the Core Model.
WHAT IS THE CORE MODEL AND TO WHOM IT IS RELEVANT
The Core model has multiple benefits. It lets you take your customer journey and service blueprint down to earth by tackling one contact point at the time. It’s also a large group, multidisciplinary design sprint in one day, that let you get alignment for priorities in the entire organisation. Among many other things…
The Core model is a simple and intuitive framework that works in just about any organizational setting. It’s a versatile tool that has proved useful for people who are service designers, project managers, product managers, business developers, web editors or similar.
Also, the core workshop works just as well in digital and analog format.
IN THIS MEETUP YOU WILL LEARN
Hopefully, if you are a service designer you will discover a tool and a method that is just as useful as your traditional Customer Journey Map or Service Blueprint, and that works great in tandem with them as well.
If you do design sprints, you’ll discover a different take on the traditional design sprint - where you can cover more or less the same ground in the course of a day.
For anyone else, you’ll hopefully get a new perspective on how to prioritize, simplify and get traction in your project using the Core model.
