Our Taster Day will introduce you to the ideas, methods and techniques of service design.
You will work in teams to learn basic methods of user research. Our discovery trip will take you out onto the streets and help you understand why some services work brilliantly, while others simply don’t.
You will identify how service design can help you in your own professional work. You’ll be tutored by experts who will share their insights and inside knowledge. They will explain how you can begin to connect to the world of service design and be part of a growing international community.
This high-energy one day course will give you an insight into service design. You’ll get to know the tools and language and be supported with putting them into practice by our tutors.
This course will suit non-designers working in service industries as well as professionals interested in creative problem-solving approaches.
The Service Design Academy offers a range of Introductory Level Courses in Service Design including a PDA (Professional Development Award) in Service Design, accredited Units in service design disciplines and high energy two-day boot camps that will give you a whistle-stop tour of the tools as you put your learning into practice straight away with a live project brief.
This course is a basic, introductory level, there is no assessment but we do encourage you to reflect on your learning throughout the day.
You will receive a College Certificate.
