Hello, my name is Helio (pronounce it without the "h," as in "Elliot"). I'm 43 years old and I live in Vitoria, a mid-sized city on the coast of Brazil.
I started my professional career as a copywriter, working for advertising agencies between Vitoria and Sao Paulo, where I lived for almost 10 years (2006-2015). However, after deciding to move back to my hometown, Vitoria, I made the transition to working on service design projects.
Primarily, I worked as a freelance professional and then started my own business: Persona Dialogos estratégicos (Portuguese for strategic dialogues). I am married and a father of three children, aged 12, 6, and 4 years old. My passions include being a father, reading, running, practicing jiu-jitsu, and cooking.
To me, service design means...
Service design is an approach to problem-solving that revolves around two major ideas: deep understanding and creativity. For me personally, it also signifies the fusion of creative skills with a lifelong love for learning, which I have cultivated throughout my life.

"Ecossistema Social Camburi" - Designing a city square at an urban beach of Brazil
The "Ecossistema Social Camburi" project was an exploratory study that aimed to understand the needs of the local population and design a square on Camburi Beach, located in Vitoria, in the state of Espírito Santo. The project provided valuable insights into architecture, user experience, and community relationships. This work was carried out in collaboration with Vale, a global mining company that operates in Espirito Santo and has one of its most significant port complexes in the region, as well as in more than 20 other countries.

EDP's ecosystem of Action. Designing a relationship journey
"EDP's Ecosystem of Action" was a project centered around fostering dialogue between EDP, an electricity supply company, and underserved communities. The objective of this initiative was to facilitate the implementation of new technologies in peripheral neighborhoods through a series of relationship-building and communication activities.
