At the last reading club, we decided to continue reading and exploring Ingrid Bens' book on facilitation. We want to do some of the book exercises, to learn by doing.

As service designers, we have many opportunities to be facilitators. The reading club conversation will focus on theoretical and practical areas of facilitation. Here are some areas we might explore:

Conduct self assessment of our facilitation competency and philosophy and discuss with the group

Broaden repertoire of tools to make impromptu design changes whenever they are needed

Learn to be more resilient and confident when dealing with dysfunctional situations and difficult people

We are are co-creating the reading club experience. There are plenty of opportunities to shape the groups’ direction, suggest readings, and lead discussions and test activities. The reading club is for beginners and experts alike. 

Food and beverage (not alcoholic) will be served.
