I have been working in Cork County Council for the last 14 years. I lead the Council's Service rePublic unit, which is dedicated to transforming services using service design tools and processes.

I love my job!

I hold an MSc in Landscape Ecology from University College Cork and a Diploma in the Management of Modern Public Service Delivery from University College Dublin. Over the last 8 years I have worked in the areas of business process improvement and service reviews for Cork County Council and have managed a number of key service transformation projects including the implementation of the Council’s customer experience platform at www.yourcouncil.ie and the establishment of the Service rePublic service transformation unit.

Julianne’s interest in Service Design

I am excited by the way in which the process of service design brings about real transformation in services and also transformation in the people who are part of these services. I have an amazing team in Service rePublic and the work we've been doing has changed us all for the better! There is huge satisfaction in designing services together with those who deliver and use them. We've spoken with so many great people in County Cork - our own staff and public - who are eager for change and full of ideas. We hope we can help to make these ideas happen through Service rePublic and using the process and tools of service design.
