About thomas brandenburg
Service Design: I practice professionally, I teach what I practiced, I learn from teaching, and I apply it back to my practice. It is a wonderful cycle.
I live in the heart of downtown Chicago, I love biking and walking by the river and the lake and being surrounded by skyscrapers. I also think Chicago has a great design community and look forward to finding ways to contribute to it as service design evangelist. Also I should mention I immensely enjoy doing the collaborative project of the 5by5.blog—five questions to five experts. I find it very meaningful to learn from the diversity of thoughts on service design and more. I welcome you to visit it.
thomas’s interest in Service Design
The world is getting more complex and service design for organization is becoming more of a necessity to connect the dots across channels, to discover and define new opportunities, to identify and solve for the barriers and gaps between systems, objects, and people. Not only can this discipline help improve the customer or guest experience, but I find it equal interesting to see how service design can be used improve the organization's internal processes and experiences that support the customer's experience.
