The Report presents the development of service design in China over the past years and identifies 69 colleges and 140 teachers who are currently conducting education and research in service design.

Deaths caused by chronic diseases accounted for 87% of the total mortality, and the medical expenditures incurred accounted for 70% of the total disease medical payments. However, the current concepts, technologies, services, and models of prevention and control are still out of date for chronic diseases.

On May 28, 2018,The China Beijing International Fair For Trade In Services opened.As an important part of it, the“2018 China Service Design Congress” was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing. SDN Beijing hosted the congress, jointly with the Dragon Design Foundation(DDF）and other agencies.

SDNbeijing won the SDN Chapter Award! The winner announcement and Award Ceremony took place during the SDGC17 Members Event on November 1st, 2017. 2017 Modern Service Innovation International Forum was held by Service Design Network (Beijing Chapter) on June 18, 2017 (Sunday) in Beijing,China 2017现代服务业创新国际论坛“服务设计与共享经济”于2017年6月18日在中国北京成功举办

Shenzhen forum is meaningful to our chapter also to Chinese design, we're preparing a variety of programs this year to advance the service design in China. Next, It will be a service design education forum hold in Guangzhou in June 17th, and workshop with Frog in Qinghua university in Beijing.

Service Design was recommended and translated by SDN-Beijing chapter. As a promoter of service design in China, the operation team of SDN-Beijing makes great efforts constantly in spreading the worldwide latest service design thoughts and methods to our members, educators, practitioners and also to those who’d like to approach about and give close attention to service design.

“Service Design & Innovation ” was published in May 2015. It’s the first book that systematically introduce service design to Chinese audiences, the author, Prof. Guosheng Wang (Sam WANG), is serving in the Academy Art & Design, Tsinghua university, as well as the founder and chair of SDN-beijing.
