With China entering the era of the service economy, the service industries such as healthcare, transportation, finance and insurance have provided new propositions for design, combined with the industrial upgrading and market competition have intensified, so the demand for design upgrading has become increasingly urgent. Cultivating service designers is the key to improve the service innovation system, and it is also a national need to promote the high-quality development of China's economy.

In order to further spread the concept of service design and respond to the call of SDN, SDN-Beijing will hold the Service Design Open Day with the theme of "Discipline Development and Practice of Service Design", combing the development context of discipline, discussing the frontier topics of practice in the form of roundtable meetings. It aims to promote the dialogue between service design and different disciplines and build a platform for communication between service design community members.
