The China Service Design Education Alliance (CSDEA) "Service Design Education Research Forum 2025" will be held on January 11, 2025, at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. The forum, themed "Chime · Cohesion · Collaboration" aims to foster collaboration, co-construction, and shared growth among educators, researchers, and practitioners in the field of service design. Leveraging the CSDEA platform, the forum seeks to promote the deep integration of government, industry, academia, and research, building an innovative ecosystem centered on harmonious teaching, synchronized cognition, and shared outcomes in industry and research. With the relentless efforts of design educators with international perspectives, service design education in China has undergone more than a decade of exploratory development. According to the fourth survey report on Chinese universities, led by the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, by 2021, 69 universities in China had introduced 147 courses related to service design. Additionally, 140 university faculty members have engaged in service design research, publishing 819 academic papers and 18 textbooks or monographs. These numbers continue to grow. On June 18, 2016, representatives from eight universities signed the "Proposal for Establishing the China Service Design Education Alliance" at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. The proposal called upon China’s design, academic, and industrial communities, as well as like-minded individuals and organizations, to advance theoretical and academic research on service design grounded in Chinese practice. The "Service Design Education Research Forum 2025" will focus on the following topics for discussion and exchange: 1, Concepts, theories, and methods 2, Educational research and exemplary teaching cases 3, Design practices and industry-academia-research collaboration cases 4, Career development for service designers 5, Preparations for the release of the "China Service Design Higher Education Survey Report 2025"
