IITF - Institute for Innovation and Trend Research

IITF is a young application-oriented research organisation and spin-off of Graz University of Technology. Its research efforts are mainly targeted at small and medium sized enterprises (SME) and focus on innovation. Our role within the Austrian innovation system is to build a knowledge-bridge between Universities, other research institutes and realisation-oriented companies. Basic innovation research results and trends are constantly being adapted and translated to fit into the business world.

A recent research focus is centred on systematic service innovation. IITF is developing procedures and methods in order to design services systematically. For this purpose we are dealing with approaches such as Service Design, Innovation Management, Trend Research, Creativity Techniques, Strategic Management and Business Model Generation. Based on these we are designing individual solutions to suit the special needs of our customers. We work closely together with them to come up with successful service innovation solutions. Additionally, we hold trainings (also certifications for Value Management EN 12973) and lectures in die fields of Knowledge Management, Innovation Management and Service Design for businesses and different Austrian Universities.
