The team of Frontier Service Design has published three new case studies on their website. The first case study is on ColorQuick, a company that has a service and product for graphic artists and commercial printers. The second shows the process of a luxury clothing retailer who moves into the sports branch. Therefore a card sorting exercise uncovers what players really want in a sports line. The third case study covers a worldwide hotel chain in creating new revenue via next generation entertainment within their hotel rooms.
Playmakers, the latest project from thinkpublic’s media department, was premiered in November at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival. The project, in association with NESTA and Hide&Seek, documents the emerging field of pervasive games and explores the relationship between play, public space and new technology. The film is a thought provoking insight into 21st century forms of play. The film will be screened at a series of events in the UK and worldwide before being launched online with a Creative Commons license in 2010.
