The 3rd Service Design and Service Innovation Conference will be held in Espoo, Finland 8-10 February 2012 and focuses on Co-creating Services.
ServDes invites contributions from researchers and practitioners that wish to contribute to the growing knowledge base of service design. Submission deadline: September 30 2011.
Rise & Design - Design Procurement and Procurement Fair will be hold by Design Network North on 13th May 2011.
Speakers will include David Townsle, Business Development Manager – Compete North East and Gary Stone, Business Advisor and Procurement Specialist-Business 2 Business
They will also be holding June’s Rise & Design on Friday 10th June on Sustainable Design at St James Park, Newcastle.
Companies, Sciences and Artists worked together on innovative ideas of how to improve services. This two day seminar presents ideas and projects to open up discussions.
After last years big success, a second seminar on Service Design for practitioners will take place in Vienna between May and October 2011. This intensive six day seminar is held by Prof. Birgit Mager, Mag. Barbara Weber-Kainz and Mag. Linda Kaszubski and will give an overview on Service Design theory and methods as well as going through the Service Design process while working on praxis projects.

In Köln we will meet a group of 60 people at KISD and enjoy of a weekend full of Service Design!
‘Intersections 2011’ is a conference on the emerging trends that are driving business change and reveal new opportunities for design practice. It will take place at the Eden Project on the 2nd and 3rd of March. The creative business summit is held by Dott Cornwall and the Design Council and speakers will include experts, mavericks, entrepreneurs and thought leaders including Nick Jankel, David McCandless, John Thackara, Josephine Green, Alan Moore, Charles Armstrong and Tim Smit.
In order to spread even more the Service Design word and to contribute to preparing a new generation of designers for the incoming challenges, the Service Design Network starts a new series of workshops.
Service Design Network is hosting Global Service Jam, an international Service Design event, which is happening concurrently worldwide for 48 hours in 43 cities spread across all the continents. It will be co-hosted by Köln International School of Design and take place at the University Campus.
